Wonders of the Universe

Exploring Physics: From Quarks to Atoms to the Cosmos

📅 27 - 29 April 2026 📍 St Joseph’s University (On-Campus) ⏰ 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Overview

Modern physics explores nature across vast length and energy scales: from the smallest fundamental particles to the largest structures in the universe. This workshop introduces students to key ideas in particle physics, astronomy, and cosmology, and highlights how these fields are deeply connected.

The programme combines introductory theory, hands-on data analysis, and guided discussions, with approximately equal emphasis on particle physics, astrophysics and cosmology.

Eligibility:

BSc / MSc Students in Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics. No formal prerequisites are required, though basic undergraduate physics is assumed. Python knowledge is advantageous but not necessary.
